FORSYTH COUNTY LIONS CLUB

"You can't get very far until you start doing something for somebody else."

Melvin Jones (1879-1961), Founder of Lions Clubs International

On April 14, 1961, in Cumming, Georgia, the Forsyth County Lions Club was founded for the purpose of serving our local community by helping low-income Forsyth Countians receive access to quality vision and hearing care.

Throughout the year, we engage in various fundraising events to help provide eyeglasses and eye exams to low-income uninsured Cumming-Forsyth County residents.

Club members also serve the Cumming-Forsyth County community in other ways, including (but not limited to)...

  • Conducting vision screenings at local events.
  • Collecting non-perishable food for distribution to local food pantries.
  • Feeding the hungry and homeless within our community.
  • Collecting toys during the Christmas season for distribution to low-income local children.

We are always looking for civic-minded people from all walks of life to join our club and would be honored to have you as our guest at any of our meetings.

Meetings are held every 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 7 PM at the Golden Corral on 2025 Market Place Boulevard (just off Buford Dam Road next to Best Buy).
